Baby Bumpy

These are a few new baby bump pics for the last few weeks. This little man is starting to get big!! I'm 24 weeks along this week!! Only a few more months to go!
This is 21 weeks.
24 Weeks
I got a new pillow!!! It's the best! It supports my tummy, my back, my knees, my hips and my head!! And the best part is I traded in my 4 normal pillows for just 1!! It's just a bit bigger than the other ones. Matt loves it. It doesn't take up much room...ha.
Here's a few pictures from what we've been doing lately. Matt starts his new job in a week so we've just been hanging out and enjoying this time we have with each other :) We went fishing in our backyard! Matt caught a one right away!
He promised me I would catch one too!! But nope.
But we went to Lakeside and I caught one there!!
And then Matt caught a Catfish and let me reel it in!! It was huge! And gross.
That's all the pics I have. Bye Bye.

Baby Bump

15 Weeks
17 Weeks
19 Weeks
Slowly but surely the little guy is getting bigger. I told Kristin yesterday that I was bored and I wanted a kid to go outside to play catch with. She had to remind me that I would not only be waiting 5 months but that he probably wouldn't be "walking" outside with me for quite a while, let alone playing catch. I'm tired of waiting.

Cougars and Dogs and Bears, Oh My! (Sibling Report)

So Matt's Family does this thing called sibling reports. Since half of the kids are away from home, every week we each write a blog post updating each other. Well Matt and I are pretty dismal at it but we are even worse at updating our own blog. So, when we do post, I decided to post it on our blog too, so that I can at least post something sometimes:) Enjoy!
This week we had lots of fun with March Madness. We watched the BYU games on Thurs and Sat and we are super excited!! Go Cougs!!
We also got Nixon fixed on tuesday so he's been a sad puppy since he had to wear the cone-of-shame all week and couldn't run or play outside. Well actually, he hasn't really been affected, except that he becomes a tornado of mass destruction with his cone on. He really likes to come bump you in the back of the legs with it. AWFUL!! This drives Kristin crazy!!! Serious. We also can't bathe him so his new name might be "smelly dog" or "stinky mutt-dog." We're throwing them around to see which sticks:) Luckily, tuesday is his 7-day mark and so he will be bathed and taken care of again.
Puppy also broke off one of his canine teeth. Well, since he's a dog, i guess they are all canine teeth. hehe. Anyways, one of his fang teeth. And the root pulp was coming out and stuff. It was gross. But he didn't seem to be in pain and he can eat. We looked it up and it should retract back into the tooth and be fine since it's only his baby tooth and he'll get a new one. He's much stronger than I. It looks so nasty and painful. Maybe we should be better puppy-parents and not let him chew rocks and cement??
Spencer and Robin invited us to her parent's cabin in Bear Lake this last weekend. Thanks to a wonderful Steph who tended our pathetic pup, we got to spend part of the weekend up there. We drove up Friday night and stayed over and came back Sat afternoon. It was way fun and we didn't take any pictures but Robin did so hopefully we 'll get those from her and then show you.
We also (and by we i mean Kristin and Steph) re-arranged Steph's living room and it looks AWESOME! Maybe steph will have pics:) I should put batteries in my camera. hmm...ok that's about it for this week!! love love!!

Lately...

Most of our weekend was spent between Costco and Steph's basement. On Saturday we picked up a treadmill for Steph that she had beenwanting and thought we would just get it bought and set up for her or it might never get done. We brought it to her house and unloaded the supermassive oversized box in her kitchen after much huffing and puffing. We called some of her boy neighbors over to help heft the track downstairs and spent an hour assembling it, then we plugged it in...it didn't work. We knew right then what we would be doing on our holiday monday. Long story short, the treadmill is set up now and Steph hates winter less now, mission accomplished.
Also, Matt got a great new box to play with. On Monday we also finally decided to get a new little friend. He is 8 weeks old. We got him from a breeder in Ogden and we are excited. Matt intends to train him as a bird dog. He is a smart little guy and can already sit on command.
Kristin loves him because he cuddles with her. In other news our water came back on! We have had frozen pipes for 2 weeks now and have showered at Stephs and pulled all of our toilet flushing/teeth brushing/dish washing water from the river. At 6:34 am today the ice melted and the water came rushing back. Kristin is very excited. Also this weekend Matt went on a campout with the deacons teachers and priests in the ward. He went to a members cabin in American Fork canyon and spent the weekend snowmobiling and skiing. It was lots of fun and he loves his calling.

In the Dog House

Winter on the way + Matt wanting a new project = Bear gets a doghouse. Luckily, the free section in online classified gave us all the wood we needed for FREE!
All we needed was a box of nails and a roll of insulation.
Unfortunately night caught up to us a little too quickly. We'll post a finished project photo when it gets all done.
Thanks for the circular saw wedding present dad, it is getting plenty of use!

Bambie's Mom

Every day, when we get home from school, bear is on the porch to greet us. When we let him off his tether, it usually takes him about 7 seconds to run behind the house into the trees and come back with a stick that he wants to play fetch with. Last week, he was gone a little longer than normal and returned with this.
A deer leg. Good Boy.

PunKin

Best Halloween pumpkin of the year.

Who has a themed party at 26??

Saturday was Matt's 26th birthday!!! So I love love love birthdays. I'm not sure why, but I really like making little parties, even if it is just Matt, Steph and I. So in celebration? of the up coming winter, I made him a little winter wonderland themed party. Yes, he turned 26 and not 6 but he still got a themed party, mostly because it was fun and partly because I got carried away at the dollar store. :)
These were the cupcakes. They are supposed to look like little snow covered mountains:)
Man, he got a whole stack of presents!!
He got New shoes from my parents. The one on the left is his new shoe and the one on the right is his old shoe, which has a hole all the way through the sole!!
He got bike gloves from Steph.
A shirt and sweatshirt from his parents. I bought the wrong size, so it looks like we'll being exchanging as they are both a little small in the arms...
If you don't stretch like that it'll fit...:)
Some Nilsen T's from me...
And the big finish. He picked this present out in September but I wrapped it up and made him wait until his birthday to open it...mean huh?
Happy birthday boy!! It looks like it was well worth the wait though...he went and got his old skis so he could try his new boots out!!
Happy, tired birthday boy!!

Lucky for October!

So some of the two people that read the first and only post I've done might have noticed I've been dismal at blogging. However, as it is akin to journal writing--which I might just be worse at, and Sibling Reports--which usually don't get to have pictures, I am going to turn over a new leaf and try to be a better blogger. We'll see.
October has been a lucky month. In case you didn't know, My husband is just about the luckiest person I know!!
A few weeks ago we went to a pumpkin festival at a local cider farm in Sandy for FHE. It was sooo fun. Yes, we felt a little weird without small children, but it was still super fun. For $3 we got hot apple cider, went on a hay ride, watch Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin, and entered a raffle, which out of the four prizes drawn, both Matt and I won!! Lucky? Yep! We also got to pick out a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. It was a good little FHE/date night!
Two weeks we went to a winter kick off party at Park's Sportsman. We wandered around the store and tried to find something to spend our free $5 on, we entered the two raffles in the store and went outside to enter the radio station's drawing of a brand new ski package. While filling out entry forms, Matt sweet talked the radio girl into giving us free tickets to the new Warren Miller ski movie, a must-see for Matt. That was the only thing Matt wanted out of going. These movie tickets are about $20 each and you get a free lift ticket to the canyons when you go. So...it was like getting $190 free. Lucky? Yes he is. But I'm stealing some of that luck from him because later I got a call from the store and I won one of the drawing and got a free boot warmer. Yep, pretty excited about anything that keeps me warm!!
It gets better though! The radio drawing (for the new skis, remember?) was going to be at 5p that day and you had to be present to win, so naturally, we had to go back. We got there at about 4:50p and walked by the radio people, who looked very sick of being there, and Matt asked if they were drawing yet. The radio man looks at him, looks at his watch, and then says, "what's your name" as he opens the raffle box and finds Matt's name!! Yes, he "won" brand new skis, boots, bindings, and poles. Lucky? Ridiculously.
Lately we've been listening to the radio when we drive to and from school. Last week, Matt was driving into class and a radio station was asking for people to call in with their best hunting stories. So Matt calls in and tells about the time his grandpa caught a mountain lion, tranquilized it, and gave it a gold capped tooth. (We aren't sure if this is true, but it's a rumor and a great story!) The radio people loved it and he won Corn Belly's Corn Maze tickets!! Lucky? It's silly how lucky he is, isn't it?
Monday we went to a group FHE and carved our pumpkin!! It was awesome!!
